Reviews
This shop has been operating for over 100 years. Third generation chef. I've been here dozens of times over the past 6 years or so. It never disappoints. Regarded my myself and lots of friends as the best katsudon around. Counter seating for around 10 people. Only open for lungh. There is usually a short wait. Small parking lot behind the shop. Super efficient system for making and serving food. Simple and easy to understand menu. The average cost for lunch is around ¥500. Amazing katsudon!
I went there around 11:30 on a weekday. Two or three people were seated at the counter smoothly and we were able to enjoy our food smoothly. But after that, customers came one after another. It seems that many customers ordered Katsudon A and B. Ordered Katsudon B and Katsu C (fillet cutlet) set meal!! ︎I also ordered beer. I'm glad they have Sapporo beer. Cost performance! I think it's really good ^ - ^ I want to go again ^ - ^
Very clean, very cheap, very friendly, very delicious. Had Yakiniku-don and the meat was amazingly soft and sweet. Their specialty is katsu-don, but I didn't try it. Meals are between 450 and 700yen. I didn't see any English, but they have three pictures on the menu of different katsu-don you could point at. But you'll be safe pointing at anything with 丼 in the name, I suspect.
I received Katsudon C.
The katsudon here is served with Japanese-style dashi. It seems to be different from sauce cutlet.
Choose A to C for Katsudon
ARegular katsudon
B Katsudon with egg
C It's katsudon, but the cutlet is jumbo.
The omelet rice and katsudon C on the menu are limited in quantity, so if you want to eat them, you should line up early.
Most people were eating large servings of Katsudon A rice or Katsu curry.
Parking information will also be included.
It was so cheap and delicious that I wanted to come again! !
Japanese style sauce goes well with rice!

This is a long-established katsudon restaurant located near Takasaki Station that was founded in 1919 and specializes in traditional Japanese-style cutlet. The cost performance is also very good, the traditional Japanese sauce is really delicious, and the katsudon with freshly fried cutlet served in this sauce is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is extremely crowded during lunch time, and customers keep coming one after another. It's katsudon, but you can eat it easily, so it moves quickly and gets crowded, but I don't think you'll have to wait that long to get in. I ordered cutlet b with egg and potato salad. You can choose between eggless cutlet a and eggless jumbo cutlet c, as well as cutlet curry and pork cutlet set meals. This is a store that I definitely recommend.
I live a little far away, so it's been a while since I've been here. It's a little sweet and spicy, but it's still delicious! I received ``Katsudon B'', which is a pork cutlet bowl topped with sauce and egg. ¥550 is a bargain price. The king of B-class gourmet food is still alive and well.
I read the reviews here and decided to eat here when I was nearby. There were a lot of office workers there, probably because it was a weekday afternoon. There were a lot of orders for Katsudon bento boxes, so I guess takeout is also popular. It was delicious as usual.
